Farm Stays & Airbnb
We are excited to now offer farm stays in the cabins at Honeysuckle Ranch
The first of three cabins is now open for bookings at the entrance of Honeysuckle Ranch which is a large, wooded property attached to the eastern side of Bee Tree Farm. Here, you can enjoy a comfortable stay in the solitude of the country but just 25 minutes from downtown Austin. Our three cabins are named after past matriarchs of the dairy herd: The Pearl, Jolene and Loretta. The Loretta, the Pearl and the Jolene are available now for bookings on Airbnn: The Loretta at Honeysuckle Ranch, the Jolene and the Pearl cabin!
During your stay, you’re encouraged to book a private goat experience which can include either a walk with the goats through the forest on Honeysuckle Ranch or a private milking experience in the barn at Bee Tree. Our menu of options is below:
GOAT EXPERIENCES FOR CABIN GUESTS
We love to share our amazing dairy goat herd and farm and ranch property with guests (the goats love it, too!). Guests in our cabins are invited to book a private goat experience which allows them a lot of one-on-one time with the goats and their guardian dog companions. The farm is owned by Jenna who, until recently, operated a commercial cheese facility and dairy on the Bee Tree property. Each of the goats was born on the farm, hand-raised by Jenna, and was (or is currently) milked on the farm. A private experience is led by Jenna who is always happy to answer any of your burning goat, dairy, or cheese questions! Please contact Jenna: honeysuckleranchtx@gmail.com to arrange for one of these private bookings.
PRIVATE GOAT WALKS THROUGH HONEYSUCKLE RANCH – YEAR ROUND $75/hour
This experience begins at the Honeysuckle event barn in the center of the ranch property. Guests are invited to meet at the barn at the agreed upon time where they will meet with Jenna and the entire herd of dairy goats along with their livestock guardian dog (LGDs) companions who live with the goats and protect them from predators. The dogs are extremely large and extremely friendly! Our goats have all been handled since birth and raised by humans, so they absolutely love visitors. They also love walking through the ranch and will follow humans anywhere. The walk is a loop into the center of the property and is on uneven ground. Guests will encounter lots of brush, mesquite trees, cactus and plenty of rocks. Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and bring along something to drink.
GOAT MILKING AT BEE TREE FARM – Offered beginning March 10, 2023 – $100/pair of guests
This is an excellent experience for anyone who has ever been curious about the process of hand milking an animal. Guests will meet at Bee Tree Farm (the entrance is at the opposite side of Honeysuckle), and the driveway is approximately 2 miles from the Honeysuckle entrance – about a 5 minute drive. We will meet inside the goat barn and Jenna will demonstrate the process of hand milking a goat. Guests are encouraged to milk as well and are welcome to bring home fresh, raw goat milk that they have milked themselves!
